Suburban Meadow, Butterfly Dreams

This front yard has sat as bare soil for years, and my goal was to bring back to life both above and below ground. We planted resilient sedge meadow that stays green year round, seasonal flowers woven in to support pollinators and add bursts of color. Contemporary floating concrete steps lead to the front door, blending structure with softness. A bird bath, clusters of milkweed, and other habitat supporting plants have transformed the space into a haven for wildlife. The garden has now hosted dozens of Monarch caterpillars and chrysalis, becoming a thriving pollinator sanctuary.
