Active Kids, Grounded Space

We designed this front and backyard in San Jose as part of a full home renovation for an active family. The existing kidney shaped pool was transformed into a clean rectangular pool, creating a centerpiece for the yard. A spacious new pool deck was added to accommodate adults relaxing nearby he pool while kids swim and play. The llients wanted to maximize hardscape for entertaining and include a lawn large enough for sports. We struck a balance by integrating generous hardscape with open turf space, while carving out areas for low water habitat plantings. The result is a versatile space thats durable, dynamic, and rooted in family life.
